Bram Stoker
Bram Stoker (1847-1912) based his novel Dracula on the research he uncovered on the 15th century Wallachian Prince Vlad Dracula(as discussed above). Bram Stoker created the fictional Count Dracula and the story of Dracula’s attempt at creating a second home in London during the1800’s. It is one of the most fascinating books in English literature and continues to be a bestseller to this day.

In 1992, Columbia pictures released Francis Ford Coppola’s film Bram Stoker’s Dracula starring Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves and Anthony Hopkins. We here at Nosferatu.com, highly recommend this film, as it contains a brief, but mostly accurate accurate snapshot of our history (the opening minutes of the film) and accurately portrays the Nosferatu’s ability to change into wolves / werewolves and walk about in the sunlight. Francis Ford Coppola also adds his own interpretation to Stoker’s basic story line by introducing Dracula’s beloved wife as a reincarnated contemporary woman who gradually remembers and still loves her prince. True love never dies.
